Celena Smith
Celena Smith started Ling's Village because she believes every young person deserves to know who they were created to be. With years of experience in youth work, education, and community organizing, she saw something missing. Kids needed a place where they could grow not just academically, but spiritually and socially too.
"I believe that when a child knows their identity and understands their purpose, nothing can stop them," Celena shares. "Ling's Village is that place. It's a community where young people are seen, known, and equipped to let their light shine."
Under her leadership, Ling's Village has grown from a small program into a comprehensive youth organization serving hundreds of young people and their families.

Our Story
A Vision is Born
Celena Smith begins dreaming of a holistic youth development program rooted in faith and community.
First Program Launches
The Discover Academy program opens its doors, serving 15 kids in the community.
Growth Through Challenge
Through the challenges of the pandemic, Ling's Village grows online and reaches more young people than ever before.
Nonprofit Status
Ling's Village is officially recognized as a nonprofit organization, opening the door to grants and partnerships.
Expanding Impact
Now serving more than 500 young people with 7 core programs and 100 volunteers, Ling's Village becomes a pillar of the community.
The Future is Bright
The work continues. We keep growing, innovating, and reminding every young person that their light matters.
